Good Fences Make Good Neighbors….
“The biggest organized crime threat facing the United States.”, this is the claim of a member of the Homeland Security dept when asked about Mexican drug cartels. Violence has cost the lives of thousands mostly in Mexico so far. Roger Rufe, Homeland Security head of operations has plans to protect the border. These plans include enhanced gun control and beefing up law enforcement, but stops at putting troops on the border. President Obama agrees with Rufe’s opinion on this point, saying that bring troops down to defend the Mexican/U.S. border would be “a last resort”.
